Gülfem Aslan completed her primary, secondary, and higher education in England. After studying language and drama in London, she specialised in education by obtaining a master’s degree in English Language Teaching from Aston University in Birmingham. She has served as an English instructor at various institutions across both primary and higher education levels, including Bilkent University and Middle East Technical University.
In these institutions, she also took on the responsibility of pre-service and in-service teacher training. Between 1995 and 2003, she worked as an Education Consultant for the British Council’s English Education and Culture section. During this time, she organised numerous foreign language teacher training programs on behalf of the Turkish Ministry of Education. Her areas of expertise include drama techniques in education and Neuro-Linguistic Programming (NLP). She has also coordinated the English Education Master's Program at Bahçeşehir University and worked as the Foreign Languages Coordinator at Maya Schools and Sınav Schools. Currently, Aslan continues her work as a teacher trainer.
