Abstract
The Spotlight Effect: Shining with Positive Psychology in the ELT Classroom
The essence of positive psychology in education becomes more prominent as we explore its transformative power in both teaching and learning. In this workshop, participants will experience and learn several practical strategies that can be used not only in the classroom but also in their personal lives to foster resilience, motivation, and well-being.
Through interactive activities, reflective exercises, and real-life examples, we will uncover how strengths-based approaches, growth mindset principles, and practices such as gratitude, mindfulness, and hope can create more engaging, supportive, and effective educational environments.
Whether you are an educator seeking to build a more positive classroom culture or an individual aiming to enhance your own sense of fulfilment and purpose, this workshop offers valuable tools to inspire lasting change. Join us to reimagine education through the lens of positive psychology—where flourishing becomes a shared goal for both teachers and learners.
