Abstract: More than Four Skills: Empowering Learning through Multimodal Literacy
We cannot deny the fact that our digital world has changed the nature of literacy. Teaching just the four skills - reading, writing, listening, and speaking—is no longer enough. Today, communication involves pictures, videos, presentations, and other multimedia, so our students need to develop multimodal literacy skills to communicate successfully. In this session, we will look into what multimodal literacy is and why it is important, and we will share some practical ideas to implement in our classrooms.
